Global Commodity Manager
The brief was incredibly tough as the role was at mid-management level and yet the client required traded commodity experience on a global scale as well as a professional approach to strategic sourcing using a 7 step methodology.
A process of search was utilised in order to identify individuals in relevant companies with the correct commodity experience. It was quickly realised that the UK market could not provide the international experience and language ability required at this relatively junior level.
Bennell Associates revisited the candidate specification and worked with client to agree experience criteria and behavioural profile that would enable success in the role. A candidate was identified in Germany who had gained experience within a totally different environment but who, after careful assessment and interview, was offered the role and has become a highly successful team member.
